In recognition of the importance of exchanges in the fields of teaching and research, as well as the special opportunities provided by strengthening contacts between faculty members and students across India and the Nordic region, NCI and ISEC agree to develop programmes within the scope of this agreement.
ARTICLE 1 - GENERAL TERMS
Efforts will be directed towards establishing other forms of scholarly collaboration, such as organization of colloquia, seminars, conferences and cooperative research projects, including exchanges of relevant academic material.
ARTICLE 2 - COLLABORATION – SUMMER TRAINING PROGRAMME
The student summer course will be a continuation of the existing NCI-ISEC 4-week Summer Course Program on “Approaching the Environment in India – Issues and Methods in the Study of the Nature-Economy-Society Interface”.
ARTICLE 3 - ORGANISATION OF COLLABORATIONS
Each party to this agreement will designate its representative for matters relating to academic coordination and the execution of collaborative activities. The representatives will establish the summer training programmes and/or other collaborative programmes.
ARTICLE 4 - RESEARCH EXCHANGES
The present agreement encourages ISEC and NCI to make efforts towards establishing various forms of scholarly collaboration, such as the organisation of workshops, seminars, conferences, and cooperative research projects, including the exchanges of relevant academic material.
ARTICLE 5 - STUDENT SEMESTER PROGRAMME AND INTERNSHIP
NCI and ISEC will collaborate in organizing semester programmes for students on Doctoral levels. The candidates will be nominated and proposed by NCI for the semester programme based on the academic level of the student and the nature of the studies to be undertaken at ISEC.
